thank you cards

when to send

According to traditional etiquette, thank you cards should be sent out within three months of the wedding, but sending them out sooner is definitely better. Within a month is a good option, as you'll definitely have some professional photos you can include in the design by then, but it's not been so long that it'll seem out of the blue for your guests to receive the card.

paper printing

Thank you cards are typically post card size, A6. They can be single sided, but a popular option is to have a photo from the day on one side and the text on the other.

what to include

Traditionally, thank-you cards were centred around the gifts that your guests got you. Now, however, they're more generally seen as a thank you for attending. It's still nice to include each guest's name, and to personalise the note of appreciation if you can, but specifically naming the gift that they got you isn't really necessary.

A heartfelt thank you for being there to celebrate your wedding day with you is all that's required.

extra info

Most people understand how busy everyone is and won't mind not getting a handwritten thank you card. As long as the message is sincere and in your own words, that's all you need.
